Google Meet has seen an increase in its user base since the start of the pandemic. Accordingly, it has also continuously added new features and updates. A useful feature of Google Meet is the ability to share the screen.

Google Meet lets you share your screen for presentations in meetings. It makes it easier to explain some things that might otherwise require a physical room. Users can share their screen from the desktop app, Google Meet Android and iOS apps. The process is quite simple and only requires a few steps. Here is a step by step guide on how to share your screen in a Google Meet call.

On the computer

Join a Google Meet video call and click Present Now in the bottom menu.

Select Entire screen, One window, or One tab. You can choose to share one of three options.

Then just tap Share and others will be able to see your screen.

On Android, iOS

Join a Google Meet video call.

Tap the screen and select the three-dot menu.

Tap Share Screen, then tap Start Sharing.

Here are some things to note about sharing your screen on Google Meet. If you are presenting a Chrome tab, the tab audio will be enabled by default. You can also present a different tab by selecting that particular one and then clicking Share this tab instead. You can also view your presentation as a thumbnail by clicking the Detach option. Also note that if your camera is on, your video will be active during your presentation. Once you are done presenting, you can simply click Stop Presenting to stop sharing your screen.
