GoTo Acquires Miradore to Expand Mobile Device Management Expertise

Flexible working software provider GoTo Technologies Inc. today announced that it has acquired Finnish startup Miradore Ltd. to strengthen its capabilities in the cloud device management market.

GoTo, formerly known as LogMeIn until it was renamed earlier this year, sells a range of cloud-based remote work tools that focus on collaboration and IT technology management. ‘information. Its offerings, which include GoTo Connect, GoTo Resolve, Rescue, and Central, are primarily aimed at small and medium-sized businesses.

The company said that by adding Miradore’s mobile device management capabilities to its portfolio, it will become a one-stop-shop for all of its customers’ computing needs.

Miradore has created a cloud-hosted mobile device management platform for SMBs. IT teams can manage end users on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android devices, supporting both the bring-your-own-device and hybrid work models that have become standard in many industries.

GoTo said the plan is to integrate Miradore’s capabilities into its GoTo Resolve IT support and management tools. This integration is expected to take some time, but early next year GoTo promises that it will be able to provide full management and support for any type of device in use.

This support will include enhanced security for corporate-issued and BYOD devices, with the ability to lock down any computer or phone if necessary to limit the risk of data exposure. At the same time, GoTo said, the integration will enable simpler workflows, with all device management operations moved into a single, unified management tool that combines communications, remote support, desktop computers and remote monitoring and management.

More importantly, GoTo said, the acquisition will help it realize its vision of providing IT teams with the tools to support any type of device, anywhere.

GoTo General Manager Mike Kohlsdorf said Miradore’s SMB-focused device management tools are a natural fit for GoTo. In addition, he argues, the acquisition will also expand the market reach of his business.

“Not only does it provide a cutting-edge platform for managing mobile devices and MacOS, but Miradore also brings a team of talented employees, over 2,700 MSP customers and distributors, and over 89,000 user accounts in 180 country,” Kohlsdorf said. “All of this will further strengthen GoTo’s internal talent and market potential within the rapidly growing MDM market, which is expected to surpass $28 billion by 2027.”
