A MAN has told how he plunged 15ft off a cliff on his way home from a party – but was saved by an app on his phone.
Mikey Hutton was returning home from a night out in Fife on a video call to his brother when he got lost.

The 32-year-old worker ended up plunging down a 15ft cliff before landing trapped between rocks.
Emergency services rushed to the scene but were looking in the wrong place after Mikey became disoriented.
Cops told him to download the what3words app and was found almost immediately before being taken to Victoria Hospital for treatment.
Footage released by the RNLI shows the moment Mikey was brought ashore at Burntisland Harbor by rescue crews.
What3words divides the world into 3 meter squares and gives each square a unique combination of three words.
It’s the easiest way to find and share exact locations and can save lives in an emergency.
Mikey encourages others to download the app after his ordeal.
He told the Daily recording“My brother tried to call the police and they told me to shout as loud as possible. But they couldn’t find me because I thought I was somewhere else.

“The police then told me to download an app called what3words to my phone and they were able to find me right away.
“When they couldn’t find me, they called my brother and checked that he was serious because there was a hoax going on at the same time.
“This app has absolutely saved my life.
“I was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for a scan and everything came back clear – I just had bruises on my back. I can’t believe I didn’t break a bone.”
Mikey added on Facebook: “I nearly died last night and an app called what3words saved my life.
“I fell 15ft off a cliff yesterday on my way home via video call to my brother Steven Walker and due to a prank I was unable to be escorted by helicopter.
“Had to go in a lifeboat, honestly, so grateful to still be walking.”
