VIJAYAWADA: Opposition TDP felt horrific video glitch of Hindupur YSRC MP Gorantla Madhav was deliberately hijacked. Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, TDP AP Chairman K Atchannaidu said Anantapur SP was hiding the facts and trying to shield Madhav as per Tadepalli’s instructions.

Asking about the SP expressing their inability to say they could only find out the facts after they get the original video, Atchannaidu said it is easy for the police to check the facts if they are sincere. He sought to find out if the police had the courage to hand the case over to the CBI if they were unable to bring out the facts.

Speaking to the media at the party’s central office in Mangalagiri, TDP Politburo member Bonda Umamaheswara Rao said the whole country was shocked by Madhav’s nude video. Government Counselor (Public Affairs) Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and PA Women’s Commission Chairwoman Vasireddy Padma had made clear that action would be taken against the MP once the forensic lab report was submitted. “But now they are changing the version,” said the former MP.

Alleging that Anantapur SP Fakeerappa was just reading the script sent by Tadepalli, he said he was surprised by SP’s statement that a case has been registered and an investigation is ongoing. “While Madhav himself has admitted to filing a complaint with the police to investigate the obscene video call, the PS is now saying that a supporter of the MP, Konathala Venkateswara Rao, has filed a complaint. Which is correct,” he asked and felt that the YSRC government did not seem interested in revealing the facts.

“How can the SP claim that the video is not original and that it is transformed. Only experts can tell if a particular video is original or not. It is nothing but an attempt to escape by claiming the obscene video was posted on social media from a UK mobile number, the TDP leader observed.
