We are chatting with the Xiaomi India team about the upcoming Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G

Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G – launched in India this week – has 120W fast charging. You read that right. The company claims that with its proprietary technology, the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G will (easily) be the fastest charging smartphone in the country. In addition to fast charging, the smartphone is confirmed to have features such as a Full HD + AMOLED display and support for Dolby Atmos. The Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G will also be equipped with three rear cameras.

To talk about the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G, the overall performance of the company in 2021 and its plans for 2022, host Akhil Arora and editor-in-chief Jamshed Avari are speaking exclusively with the commercial director of Xiaomi India. Red raghu, Senior Product Marketing Manager Sandeep Sarma, and product marketing manager Rahul dubey in this week’s episode of Gadgets 360 Orbital podcast.

The Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G is said to offer zero to 100% charge in 15 minutes. The phone includes a dual cell battery that works with dual charge pumps and a custom circuit. This setup splits the battery charge like filling two empty containers at a time, Xiaomi spokespersons explain on the podcast.

Xiaomi has also equipped the phone with 34 different protection functions that are supposed to help protect against cases like high temperature charging and discharging, overheating and shutdown. In addition, the supplied charger of the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G has over-current and over-voltage protection.

The smartphone also has nine efficient real-time thermal monitoring sensors. These are supposed to help monitor the system and protect against issues including sudden explosions due to overheating during fast charging.

In addition to fast charging, the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G will have three rear cameras, with a 108-megapixel main sensor. The phone will also have features including native dual ISO for low light shots. Additionally, the company recently confirmed that the phone will have MediaTek Dimensity 920.

The Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G will come alongside the regular Xiaomi 11i which shouldn’t have 120W fast charging, but will have a few similarities. On the Gadgets 360 podcast, Xiaomi spokespersons pointed out that the plan to launch two separate models is to give customers a choice when it comes to the combination of load and metric.

The launch of the Xiaomi 11i series in India will take place on Thursday, January 6. The Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G series is said to be a rebadged Redmi Note 11 Pro + which launched in China in October. However, the Xiaomi 11i could be a renowned version of the Redmi Note 11 Pro.

We are also talking about the overall performance of Xiaomi in the Indian smartphone market in 2021. The Chinese company launched six Mi series phones during the year. The growth of Xiaomi’s smartphone shipments to India is also said to have been more than nine-fold in 2021 compared to 2020. Of course, 2020 has been a badly damaged year by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
