Your chat experience is about to change, WhatsApp polls are coming!

The WhatsApp polls feature will change the messaging experience of your group chats. Expertise.

Following recent major WhatsApp updates including camera UI, new voice messages and many more, your instant messaging app is now set to roll out a special feature that will change the way you are talking in a group. WhatsApp polls are underway for group chats, WABetaInfo confirmed. This WhatsApp feature is still under development, but should be available to all users soon. WhatsApp Polls will allow you to create polls within groups on group-related topics. This will build consensus on a topic and once a majority opinion is established, everyone can agree to it once and for all and thus save a lot of the bickering that is currently going on. It can even allow users to bounce ideas off and get positive feedback. This can apply even to business ideas and ventures. The feature is more likely to roll out first for iPhone users and later for Android and desktop users. As WhatsApp Polls are under development, there is no confirmation when you will be able to experience this feature.

WhatsApp Update Tracker – WABetaInfo has shared a preview of WhatsApp polls in a screenshot which hints that WhatsApp will allow you to enter a poll question into your WhatsApp group with “Create” and “Cancel” options. Polls will not be introduced in personal WhatsApp chats. Also, like chats, WhatsApp polls will be end-to-end encrypted. “With polls, you can ask a question and other people can vote for the answer. Note that polls will only be available in WhatsApp groups and are end-to-end encrypted…even your responses! So only people in the group can see the poll and the results,” WABetaInfo said.

WhatsApp: what more?

In a separate leak from WABetaInfo, the instant messaging app is reportedly working on a new feature that will allow macOS and Windows users to react to messages. The WhatsApp Message Reactions feature is under development and is expected to roll out in future updates. In a screenshot shared by Wabetainfo, the “post reaction” feature will allow users to react to a post by choosing between 6 different emojis, the way you can react to a post on Instagram. There will be a reaction button, which will be displayed near a chat or group message only when your cursor is near the message. And when you tap the reaction button, you will be able to react to the message through emojis, such as thumbs up, red heart, laughing smiley, etc. Although you should be aware that the feature is under development, there may be a few more updates added to the feature in the future.
