Here are some of the things you can do on Zoom to improve your experience.
Using Zoom will not only guarantee you good video quality in online meetings. You can also change your background and even access some features you haven’t heard of yet.
These are just a few of them, but if you need to know more about how to do these tricks, check them out.
According to a report by CNET, Zoom may allow the individual to add a pronoun on the profile. Whether you are a man, a woman, transgender or more, you can define here the pronoun of your choice.
In addition to that, you can also set a display image for your Zoom profile just like in any other video calling app.
To do this, press the Participants button. Next, scroll down and tap More, then Add Profile Picture. You can now choose a photo from your device. Finally, click Open.

Creation of a waiting room
Sometimes unnecessary guests can intentionally ruin your online meeting with your friends. That’s why it’s important to create your own private chat room.
In Zoom, you can avoid “zoomombing” by doing this trick. To create a waiting room, go to account management, then to account settings. Now tap on Meeting and enable the Waiting Room feature.
React with an on-screen emoji
Some meetings require participants to be muted so speakers can focus on their presentations. In this case, you can only react with virtual gestures like in the form of emojis.
By using emoticons, you can inform the speaker using reactions such as thumbs up or heart emoji. In fact, you can customize them in Zoom.
If you want to know how to react during an online video call, go to the bottom of the screen and click on the Reactions tab. Select the emoji you want to use.
Note that your reaction will only last five seconds.
Hide non-video participants
There are times when the virtual meeting is too crowded. This is why it is necessary to limit the participants on the screen. To hide another topic in the background, go to Settings, Video, then Meetings.
After that, check to hide non-video participants. Once you’re done, you can no longer see distractions such as children and animals on the video.
Meanwhile, Techradar reported that Zoom will soon introduce a metaverse-like app that can allow people to host a private meeting.
